1. Do I need a partner?
No partner is needed as partners are rotated often during the classes. Salsa is a social dance and this is the best way to meet new people and feel free to dance the night away.
2. Do I need to book?
All our classes are run on a drop in basis so no pre booking is neccesary. Keeping with the authentic roots of salsa as a social dance the after club is the most important part. What's the point in learning to dance unless you dance!
Except our Sunday Classes which are course based....!
3. Do I need special shoes/clothes?
No, smart casual is the order of the day. For the feet keep them comfortable but leather soled as there is some turning involved. For the rest of you keep it cool, dancing is physical so woolly jumpers would seriously cramp your style.

Salsa is a social partner dance from South America
primarily Cuba, Puerto Rico and Columbia.
It is a spicy mix of different older south american rhythms and dances blended together to give us our modern day version. Coming from the Mambo craze made popular in the 50s and 60s in New york. Salsa Clubs can be found in nearly every major city in the world.

Cardiff's biggest ever Salsa night is on every Thursday. Large open wooden dance floor. With 3 Classes at once!
Classes start at 8pm sharp ;) With a group warmup and general shines and other rhythms at the end of the classes.

Salsa on Sunday at Fahrenheit Dance Studios

Our next studio based dance courses are starting June 1st. The classes are course based, with 4 week modules starting each month.
Each level (other than beginners) has 4-5 modules. You can start any module as long as you have completed all modules in the the previous levels.
This is the first time in Cardiff we have had the chance to provide a direct course based series of classes with a distinct linear progression. Each student will be given a log book with course outlines to help their progression.
This is without out doubt the best way to learn and is a fantastic opportunity for us to help you get the detail you want in a great purpose built dance studio.
In dance schools around the world from Italy to Brazil this is how they learn! Supplementing the studio classes with our club nights every Tuesday & Thursday.
July Dates 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th.
Level 2 - Improvers 6-7pm - Cost £24 (4 weeks x £6)
Level 3 - Intermediates 7-8pm - Cost £24 (4 weeks x £6)
Level 4 - Advanced 8-9pm - Cost £24 (4 weeks x £6)
